2. Guest vs. Authenticated Modes

Our platform operates in two distinct modes with different data storage characteristics:

A. Guest Mode (Unauthenticated)

When using InvoiceBillMaker without creating an account, all invoice details (including company names, client details, line items, and totals) are processed and saved solely in your web browser's LocalStorage. This data remains on your physical device and is not sent to or stored on our servers.

B. Authenticated Mode (Logged-in Account)

When you sign up for an account, your profile and invoice records are synchronized to our secure Cloud Firestore database managed via Firebase. Firestore Security Rules guarantee that only your authenticated user ID can read, edit, or delete your records.

3. Information We Collect

  • Account Credentials: Email address, name, and encrypted authentication tokens when signing up or logging in.
  • Invoice Content: Business names, addresses, customer profiles, line item descriptions, GSTIN numbers, and payment details entered into invoice forms.
  • Local Storage Data: Working drafts and client preferences stored locally on your device for session continuity.

4. How We Use Information

We use collected data solely to:

  • Render, calculate, and format invoices on your screen.
  • Generate downloadable client-side PDF documents and printable layouts.
  • Persist your invoice and customer history across browser sessions.
  • Provide customer support when you reach out directly.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or invoice data to third parties or advertising networks.

5. Data Security & Architecture

PDFs are generated entirely in your client web browser using JavaScript libraries (jsPDF and html2canvas). Server-synced accounts utilize HTTPS encryption in transit and Cloud Firestore Security Rules at rest to ensure complete user-data isolation.

6. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You retain full ownership of all invoice data you generate.

  • Guest Users: You can purge all stored invoices and drafts at any time by clearing your browser's local cache or clicking "Clear All" in the history manager.
  • Account Holders: You can delete individual invoices or customer records directly from your dashboard. For full account deletion, contact our support team.

7. Third-Party Infrastructure
